A comforting sandwich filled with gooey cheese and savory ground beef, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- Butter for grilling
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
- Meanwhile, butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the slices of bread in a separate skillet, butter side down.
- On each piece of bread, add a slice of cheese, then spoon a portion of the beef mixture on top, followed by another slice of cheese and another piece of bread (butter side up).
- Grill on medium heat until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Once done, remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Can be customized with different cheeses or added vegetables like bell peppers or jalapeños.
