Description

A comforting sandwich filled with gooey cheese and savory ground beef, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  2. Meanwhile, butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place the slices of bread in a separate skillet, butter side down.
  4. On each piece of bread, add a slice of cheese, then spoon a portion of the beef mixture on top, followed by another slice of cheese and another piece of bread (butter side up).
  5. Grill on medium heat until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Once done, remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Can be customized with different cheeses or added vegetables like bell peppers or jalapeños.
