- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp paprika
- 3 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Prep the potatoes: Start by washing and peeling the golden potatoes. Either slice them into bite-sized cubes or cut them into wedges.
- Soak for perfection: Place your cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Drain and dry: Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with kitchen towels.
- Mix the coating: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, paprika, salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
- Coat the potatoes: Toss the dried potato pieces in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
- Fry to golden perfection: Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the coated potato pieces and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drain and enjoy: Transfer the potato bites to a paper towel-lined plate, season with extra salt if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Make ahead by prepping the potatoes and coating in advance and storing in the fridge. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
