Transforming the classic burger experience into fun, handheld Smashed Cheeseburger Tacos perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 taco size flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Seasoning of choice
  • Oil for greasing the cooking surface
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons pickle relish
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Pickles, sliced

Instructions

  1. Mix the mayo, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish in a small bowl to create a delightful sauce.
  2. Preheat your Blackstone griddle, cast iron skillet, or a regular pan to medium-high heat.
  3. Separate the raw ground beef into six equal portions. Take a tortilla and smash the beef down onto it, creating an even thin layer.
  4. Sprinkle the beef with your seasoning of choice for extra flavor.
  5. Lightly grease your cooking surface with oil.
  6. Carefully place the tortillas on the cooking surface, beef side down, and cook for approximately 2 minutes.
  7. Once golden and slightly crispy, flip the tortillas and immediately top with shredded cheese. Continue cooking for an additional 1-3 minutes until the cheese is melty.
  8. Remove the tacos from the heat and add your favorite toppings. Fold and enjoy!
