- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy—this should take about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the egg, followed by the red food coloring and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
- Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined; be careful not to overmix!
- Fold in the white chocolate chunks.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between them to spread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft to the touch.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze them for up to 3 months.
