Description

Deliciously soft and chewy Red Velvet Cookies with rich cocoa flavor and white chocolate chunks, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy—this should take about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg, followed by the red food coloring and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended.
  5. Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined; be careful not to overmix!
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chunks.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between them to spread.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft to the touch.
  9. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
