Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp salted butter, melted
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 1/2 pound cooked elbow macaroni
- 2 cups extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let that inviting heat fill your kitchen.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, evaporated milk, salt, white pepper, sugar, melted butter, and hot sauce until everything is well combined – it should feel smooth like a cozy blanket.
- Stir in the cooked elbow macaroni and the shredded cheddar cheese, mixing thoroughly until every piece of pasta is coated in that cheesy goodness.
- Pour the mac and cheese mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly while imagining those delicious bites.
- Sprinkle the paprika evenly over the top – this adds a beautiful color and a hint of warmth.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden on top. Your kitchen will smell heavenly!
- Allow to cool slightly before serving, because we want to enjoy it without burning our tongues!
Notes
Make it ahead of time and store in the fridge, just increase baking time if it’s cold.
