- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup until smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and baking soda in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans until they are evenly distributed in the dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil for the butter. Dough can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
