Description

Delicious Maple Pecan Cookies filled with warm, sweet flavors, perfect for sharing during the fall.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup until smooth.
  3. Whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and baking soda in another bowl.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans until they are evenly distributed in the dough.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil for the butter. Dough can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
