Description

This Instant Pot Lasagna delivers all the comfort of traditional lasagna with minimal effort, perfect for busy families and cozy dinners.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 pound Italian sausage (cooked and crumbled)
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ and heat the olive oil.
  2. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour in the marinara sauce and stir well.
  4. Carefully pour in the water to deglaze the pot, scraping up any flavorful bits.
  5. Layer the bottom of the pot with lasagna noodles, breaking them if necessary.
  6. Spread a layer of ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by half of the sausage mixture and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
  7. Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  8. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on ‘Manual’ high pressure for 20 minutes.
  9. Once done, carefully release the pressure. Serve warm, garnished with shredded Parmesan.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat gently for best results.
