Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and milk until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; do not overmix. Fold in the chopped strawberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Make the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or in the fridge for a week. Can be made a day in advance.
