Ingredients

- 1 cup white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the rice and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until the rice is cooked.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Try adding sautéed mushrooms or fresh spinach for variety.
