- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken pieces in soy sauce and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Sauté the sliced onion and bell pepper in the same skillet for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, adding black pepper, oyster sauce, sugar, and chicken broth. Stir until well combined.
- Cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with sliced green onions before serving hot.
