Description

A comforting and crispy chicken dish tossed in a sweet and savory sesame sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup corn starch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, corn starch, salt, and pepper in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the eggs until well mixed and frothy.
  2. Dip the chicken pieces into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat them with the flour mixture.
  3. Heat the sesame oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Mix the soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar in a separate bowl to create the sauce.
  5. Drain the excess oil from the chicken and toss it with the sesame sauce until evenly coated.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with green onions if desired. Serve immediately for a delightful meal.

Notes

Marinate the chicken in the sauce for enhanced flavor, and try using tofu for a vegetarian version.
