Description

A comforting and delicious banana bread recipe that is quick to make and naturally sweetened, perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas with honey and melted butter, stirring until well blended.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Gently mix in the flour and cinnamon (if using).
  5. Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store leftovers at room temperature for a couple of days in an airtight container or freeze for up to two months.
