Description
A comforting chicken dish with tender breasts in a creamy sauce with fresh spinach and Parmesan, perfect for any dinner occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Add the fresh spinach to the same skillet and sauté until wilted, filling your kitchen with a lovely aroma. Stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until beautifully melted and thickened. If you are feeling adventurous, add the lemon juice for a hint of brightness. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it lovingly with the creamy sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley, and enjoy each tender bite as it melts in your mouth.
Notes
Make-ahead advice: prep chicken and sauce in advance and reheat before serving. For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
