  • 34 tablespoons oil (4560 mL)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt (7 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper (1 g)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (3 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (3 g)
  • 1 pound ground beef (450 g)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Water, as directed on taco seasoning packet
  • 8 ounce bag Mexican shredded cheese (225 g)
  • Optional toppings: pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the potatoes: Toss the diced russet potatoes with the oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
  2. Air fry the potatoes: Place the seasoned potatoes in your air fryer and cook them at 400°F (200°C) for about 18-20 minutes, shaking the basket 2-3 times during cooking.
  3. Brown the beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the crumbled ground beef until it’s fully cooked. Drain any excess grease, add the taco seasoning and water, and let it simmer while the potatoes finish cooking.
  4. Assemble the dish: Layer the crispy potatoes on a serving plate, top with seasoned beef, sprinkle cheese, and add desired toppings.
