Description

These Big Mac Tacos combine crispy taco shells with the rich, nostalgic flavors of a Big Mac, perfect for a fun weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • ¾ cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • ½ cup dill pickle chips
  • ¼ cup finely chopped white onion
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (for skillet)
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Make the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until creamy and well combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Prepare the Tacos: Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions. Press a thin, even layer of beef onto one side of each tortilla, and season them with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the Beef: Heat the neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the tortillas beef-side down into the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the beef develops a golden crust.
  4. Flip & Add Cheese: Flip the tacos over and add a slice of American cheese to each. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until the cheese is melted and gooey.
  5. Assemble: Layer the tacos with shredded lettuce, dill pickle chips, and chopped onions. Drizzle generously with the special sauce.
  6. Serve: Fold the tacos in half and serve immediately while they’re warm and crispy.
