- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar

- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in the warmed milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the mashed bananas, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients; stir until well combined.
- Mix in the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth, elastic dough forms, about 5 minutes.
- Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
- Roll the dough out into a large rectangle on a floured surface and spread softened butter evenly over the surface.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, followed by sliced bananas.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, sealing the edges.
- Slice the log into rolls and place them in a greased baking dish, spacing them closely together.
- Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the cream cheese frosting over the rolls and serve warm.
Notes
You can prepare the dough up to the first rise and refrigerate overnight for convenience.
