Description

A delightful fusion of creamy, tender bread soaked in custard, layered with sweet apple pie filling, perfect for cozy gatherings and holiday brunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread (brioche or challah)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Butter (for greasing the dish)

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter. Cut the bread into cubes and place half of it in the dish.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Pour half of the egg mixture over the bread in the dish.
  3. Spoon the apple pie filling over the bread, then top with the remaining bread cubes.
  4. Pour the rest of the egg mixture over the top, ensuring all the bread is soaked. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
