  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  2. Combine the sliced strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a bowl. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix the flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla, stirring just until combined.
  4. Pour the strawberry mixture into a greased baking dish, then spoon the batter over the top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
