Description

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually blend in your dry ingredients to form a cookie dough.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and then roll them in granulated sugar.
  7. Place the balls on ungreased cookie sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool on wire racks.
