- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, or pork)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- Begin by removing the core from the cabbage and carefully peeling off the leaves. Set these aside.
- Combine the ground meat, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and oregano in a large mixing bowl.
- Layer a few cabbage leaves at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Form the meat mixture into small balls and place them atop the cabbage leaves.
- Pour the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the meatballs.
- If desired, add more cabbage leaves on top.
- Cover the slow cooker and let it cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Serve hot and enjoy your unstuffed cabbage rolls.
