Description

A comforting, tender beef brisket slow-cooked with onions and rich broth, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (4-5 lbs) beef brisket
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning the beef brisket generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Gently lay the brisket on top of the onions and garlic.
  4. Mix together the beef broth, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce, then pour it over the brisket.
  5. Cover your slow cooker and set it to low for 480-600 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, carefully remove the brisket, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice or shred as desired.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Slice the brisket against the grain for the most tender pieces. Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container.
