Ingredients

  • 12 slices of turkey bacon
  • 1 cup of smoked sausage, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar, pepper jack, or your favorite)
  • 1/4 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of seasoning (like garlic powder or onion powder)
  • Toothpicks for securing pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Cut the sausage into bite-sized pieces, then wrap each piece with a slice of turkey bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  3. Mix the cream cheese, shredded cheese, barbecue sauce, and seasoning in a bowl until combined.
  4. Fill each bacon-wrapped sausage with the cheese mixture generously.
  5. Place the pig shots on the grill and cook for about 60 minutes or until bacon is crispy and golden.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
