- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 chicken sausages, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned and flavorful, about 5 minutes.
- Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the orzo pasta and chicken broth to the pan, and bring it all to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes until the orzo is tender and creamy.
- Stir in the grated parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
