Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in the peppermint extract and a pinch of salt, adjusting to taste.
  3. Fold in the mini chocolate chips gently.
  4. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and smooth the top.
  5. Freeze for about 240 minutes, or until firm.
  6. Scoop out the ice cream into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

For a creamier texture, freeze for a couple of hours and churn in an ice cream maker. Store in an airtight container to avoid ice crystals.
