Description

A spicy twist on classic deviled eggs, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 jalapeño peppers, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh chives or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of water, bringing it to a boil, then covering and letting them sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Remove the eggs from the water and cool them in an ice bath.
  3. Once cooled, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  4. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  5. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, jalapeño peppers, and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, ensuring that the flavors pop.
  7. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves, filling them generously.
  8. Garnish with chopped chives or cilantro for that fresh, vibrant touch.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy the compliments!

Notes

Make ahead of time for optimal freshness and enjoy variations like adding avocado or bacon.
