Description

A creamy delight that brings the vibrant tastes of tropical fruit to any occasion, perfect for family gatherings and summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 30-oz can fruit cocktail in juice
  • 1 20-oz can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 1 8-oz can mandarin orange slices
  • 1 10-oz bag mini marshmallows
  • 1 24-oz container of sour cream
  • 1 box orange flavored gelatin

Instructions

  1. Pour all the fruit from the cans into a colander placed over the sink. Allow the juices to drain for about four hours.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and the orange jello powder. Stir until blended.
  3. Add the drained fruit and mini marshmallows to the bowl. Gently stir to coat.
  4. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least one hour; letting it sit longer will enhance the flavors.
  5. Just before serving, give the salad a gentle stir and enjoy it chilled.

Notes

Make-ahead for better flavor melding. Store leftovers in an airtight container, best enjoyed within 3 days.
