- 16 oz (450g) fresh whole mushrooms (button or cremini)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Fresh herbs (like parsley or cilantro) for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and trim the stems if necessary. You can leave them whole or slice them in half.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Place the cleaned mushrooms into the bowl and toss them in the sauce until evenly coated.
- Arrange the coated mushrooms on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, tossing them halfway through for even cooking.
Notes
You can prepare the mushrooms and sauce a few hours in advance. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
