Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, incorporating them fully before adding the next.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
  6. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, mixing until combined.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts for the crumb topping, then sprinkle half over the batter.
  9. Pour the remaining batter over the topping and then sprinkle the rest of the crumb topping on top.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before serving.
