- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Mix in the melted butter well with the bananas.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt.
- Add sugar, the beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix until cohesive.
- Mix in the flour and gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use ripe bananas with lots of brown spots for the best flavor. For neat slices, use a serrated bread knife.
