Description

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, white sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls, then roll each ball in granulated sugar to coat.
  6. Place the sugar-coated dough balls on ungreased baking pans, flattening them slightly.
  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks before enjoying.
