Description

Delightful tarts filled with sweet caramelized onions and creamy goat cheese, perfect for evenings or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme (optional) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the puff pastry squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top each with caramelized onions and sprinkle crumbled goat cheese on top.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.

Notes

Make ahead by caramelizing onions in advance and storing them in the fridge for up to 3 days.
