Description

A cozy and hassle-free Butterball Turkey Breast Roast that yields tender and juicy slices, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Butterball turkey breast roast (39 lbs) (thawed)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or nonstick spray
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Your choice of herbs and spices (suggestions: thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, paprika)
  • 1/2 cup broth, juice, or water

Instructions

  1. Pat the turkey breast dry using paper towels.
  2. Lightly spray or brush the turkey with olive oil.
  3. Generously rub salt, pepper, and your preferred herbs and spices over the surface of the turkey.
  4. Place the turkey skin-side up into your Crock Pot and pour in ½ cup of broth, juice, or water.
  5. Cover the pot and set it to cook on LOW for 4 hours.
  6. Check the internal temperature—it should be around 140°F.
  7. If it’s not there yet, continue cooking for another 1–2 hours, until the internal temperature reaches a safe 165°F.
  8. Remove the turkey from the slow cooker and tent it with foil. Allow it to rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.
  9. If it’s boneless, be sure to remove the netting.

Notes

Make ahead by seasoning the turkey the night before. Slice against the grain for tender bites.
